RESPONSIBILITIES

The Investor Relations team seeks a full-time Vice President to join the firm’s two hedge fund business units. This individual will be responsible for sales and relationship management activities including fundraising and short/medium-term special projects and analysis. In this role, you will:

    • Work closely with the Head of Investor Relations for the two business units in developing new strategic growth initiatives, supporting existing programs and executing on near/mid-term marketing plans.

    • Serve as a coverage lead within North America, responsible for covering existing clients, prospecting for new clients and developing long-term relationships in order to meet fundraising objectives

    • Develop detailed working knowledge of the firm’s Public Equity and Partnership Strategies hedge investment products, capabilities and personnel and build strong internal relationships with senior investment team members

    • Be able to clearly articulate the firm’s distinguishing characteristics, competitive and sustainable advantage, investment philosophy, and investment process

    • Deliver an accurate and consistent message to existing and potential investors

    • Handle investor relations responsibilities including periodic performance and firm updates and in-person meetings for existing and prospective clients

QUALIFICATIONS

    • A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in a similar IR/Marketing role within an alternative investment firm

    • Experience working with sophisticated institutional clients, prospective clients and a proven ability to develop new opportunities

    • Instinct on sales and desire to establish new relationships

    • Knowledge of multi-asset sectors, public equity (long/short and long-only), Emerging Markets Equity and absolute return oriented multi-strategy

    • Four-year college degree with strong academic background (minimum 3.5 GPA)

    • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and superb written and verbal skills;

    • Will be required to pass the Series 7 and Series 63 exams within 90 days of starting employment;

    • Confident client presentation skills (in person and phone)

    • Strong team player with an entrepreneurial predisposition and strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact with personnel across senior levels of the Firm;

    • Self-starter with strong project management and follow-through skills;

    • Significant travel required
