This firm is a Boston-based investment manager with a long-term, value-oriented approach has an opening for a Trading/Investment Operations Analyst. Since founding, the firm has been thoughtfully stewarding and compounding capital on behalf of families, foundations and endowments, as well as employees who collectively are the firm’s largest client. The firm manages with a broad and flexible charter, investing in a wide range of asset classes, including significant holdings in publicly traded debt and equity securities, private debt, real estate, and private equity.
The ideal candidate for the role should possess the following characteristics and qualifications:
Undergraduate degree with 2+ years professional experience in a fast-paced operational role; exposure to various public asset classes preferred but not required
Strong data analytic experience and capabilities
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent and clear communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently while at the same time work collaboratively and effectively with
personnel throughout every level of the company.
Dedication to process creation and enhancement
Ability to remain focused and productive on the firm’s trading floor

This position is part of an eight person Private & Trading Operations department. The department is comprised of two teams: Trading/Investment Operations and Private Investment Operations. This position is part of the Trading/Investment Operations team which has responsibility for the firm’s Daily Pricing & Reporting, FX process, Trade Allocation work, and acts as a liaison between Trading and the various Operations teams. This position offers challenging work in a dynamic environment for a highly skilled operations professional who enjoys supporting others and is looking for a stable, long-term opportunity.
The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Performing daily pricing/reporting work including:
Setting up derivatives in our pricing and risk systems
Coordinating review of daily market values
Preparing and reviewing daily reports
Playing a supporting role in Baupost’s trade allocation, FX, and corporate actions process
Responding to Trading/investment related questions from the Operations teams
Assisting with other trading/investment operations processes as needed
